Due to the complex three-dimensional nature of the ear, the ability to capture its unique appearance and function is challenging. Pediatric otolaryngologist, David Zopf, M.D., demonstrates the process of carving a patient’s rib cartilage into an auricular framework in order to improve anatomic form and function for patients with microtia.
